| I started running when I was 13 and ran my first marathon after being “a runner” for 6 months. I finished in 4:35 but it was one of the most painful things I’ve ever done. Since then I’ve grown slightly wiser when it comes to running. My primary focus now is trail and mountain running from 5k to 50 miles, but I’ll even jump into a road race from time to time. I was an All-American in cross country and school record holder in steeple chase for Colorado College, where I now assistant coach. I’ve also directed/produced two documentary running films that have shown in dozens of international film festivals: “Indulgence” and “Where Dreams Don’t Fade.” I am even known to sneak into the Colorado Running Company for a few hours a week and fit unsuspecting customers for my favorite Inov8 kicks. My work schedule is pretty scattered but it has running as a common thread.
