Gary Gellin fell in love with trail running in the winter of 2008. What started out as a diversion from bicycle racing turned in to a passion for running in the mountains of the San Francisco Bay Area, a thirst for the physical, mental, and competitive challenge of ultramarathon trail racing, and the fulfillment of meeting new friends in beautiful places. Along the way, Gary has won or had high placings, both overall and in the Master’s age group, for a number of well-known trail races on the West Coast and beyond. He has contributed a number of articles to Ultrarunning Magazine and has directed a 50k trail race. “Inov-8 shoes are by far the best I’ve worn for training and racing. No other brand of shoe offers the combination of good fit, light weight, and traction for both short and long distance trail running and for a wide range of trail surfaces.”
Major accomplishments from 2012 include:
